Lord knows there are enough negative threads out there surrounding AOD, I thought it would be nice to have a thread based on the positives of the game. So lets hear it..what are the things you loved about the game?

I loved the atmosphere, it was the right amount of dark for me, and the music is amazing!
To be honest I could go on forever about how much I love the game, but the only thing I think that bothers me now (now I've had a long break from playing it) is the controls, it takes me a long while to get used to them again.

I really liked AOD.. the main reason i think its a negative to most people and gets looked down on WAS the controls, they just made it so difficult to get INTO the game, that any good parts were drowned out by the fact you'd die 2 seconds later as Lara wouldnt turn right, or you'd miss a jump for no real reason.
Yes it had other issues, but in comparison to some games today it was not THAT bad.. tis the opposite of rose tinted glasses..

That's the one thing I don't get though..I know the controls were god awful on the PS2 version. But playing on PC Lara responds a lot better almost exactly like the classics. I think the problem with the console version is that the game just wasn't meant to be analogue at that point in time. But I could be wrong..

Thas the thing its the ps2 version that sold the numbers its the one got most attention.. PCs at the TIME weren't that great too remember, so whilst on modern hardware its responsive, you play it on a pc specced out for then and it was pretty bad

Very true points, ya think by now we would have some kinda program that could pin point more of the hidden points, or loading points to unlock more of the levels XD
