Ok, So I have FINALLY reached a decision about who I want to cosplay at the MCM expo in May 2014. I'm going to be........ DARTH VADER! I have an old Darth Vader helmet and a closet full of lightsabers that I need an excuse to use. I think a cosplay fits the bill just nicely. I don't necessarily have the proper suit for it, but I have enough to get the general idea. It shall be EPIC!

Hi Herbie I'll answer all your questions here, rather than on each post you made, so it doesn't fill up the board . Guns: I assume you are traveling from abroad? I have had a similar dilemma as I have been planning for SDCC 2015/2016 and wondering about props. It will also be relevant if you are traveling with a lightsaber as air security is very strict. Try these links: www.friendsofcci.com/forum/index.php?topic=270.0www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=222521However, I have come to conclusion that no weapon is the safest option, so if you decide to cosplay either use a costume that has no weapon props or make sure you have enough time to make/buy one when you get into the country (this obviously would take some research!) that you could leave behind after the con. Kurtis Trent/Chase Cavier: Either of these would probably be a more travel friendly costume, but it is up to you x)

I've been thinking about this topic for a while. I think it would be safer and easier for me to not bring a prop weapon to the expo. In this regard, Kurtis Trent/Chase Cavier would be MUCH easier to pull off, as they are a bit more travel friendly. as cool as Darth Vader is, I think he might have a few more problems with the TSA and customs, both in the US and in UK.

I think I have FINALLY have my heart set on who I want to be..... TONY STARK! Mostly because I have the same hairstyle and goatee as him. I think I also might be able to find his shirt with the arc reactor as well. It'll work out better than my previous cosplay ideas, as I wont need any weapon props to get across who I am.
Well, I think that wraps everything up for now. I'll probably post pictures as the expo draws near and as I slowly get bits and pieces of my cosplay together.

Ok. I pretty much have my cosplay all ready for MCM 2014. All that's left is a haircut and I'll be all set.
Here is a few pictures of my costume! :3

It's been a few months sine I last posted an update. Mostly because I didn't have anything to post about. Anyway, here's probably the best picture I took from MCM London Comic con. Here is Tony Stark (me) with his armored counterpart.
