I agree with point 1 so so much. Nothing about it was scary at all, it was just hallways with pillars and dust. Nothing exciting in the slightest. Such a missed opportunity to do something really terrifying. Well, considering we were supposed to be visiting some of the harshest places in known mythology, I would of thought it even would of been a bit more gory without them having to increase the rating to 'M'. Although, with the reboot, they capture the right level of gore, which if had been implemented in TRU, it might of saved it from some of the travesty it is now.

I really enjoyed underworld and I thought the game was very heartfelt also I though it had the best weapon of all tomb raider games Thor's Hammer, I had so much fun with it and I loved how powerful it was would love to see it in future games

While I agree, I'm actually very fond of Underworld. I think it has some solid levels, I loved her all-terrain motorbike, her gadgets; the weather effects and the treasure-hunting aspect made it replayable. I did get genuinely frightened by the tentacle/music combination when we first get an insight into the Underpuss/ giant octopus; at the entrance to the underwater labyrinth/ flooded cave system. I loved Lara's new moves/abilities and the level designs in general. I do agree on the colour scheme and storyline - I think they could have done so much more with it. All in all, I really love the game.

Tbh, I just love the doppelganger (the rest of the game...meh...but still better than TRL) and I am still annoyed that I cannot play the extra levels. I've watched playthroughs on Youtube and they seem to be the best bits of the game!

While I love the game, it did get dull and very rushed towards the end. Helheim was such a disappointing experience - it should have been something truly beautiful and impassibly scary! I think we are all agreed on that, but I do have a soft spot for this game. The Med Sea, Thialand and Mexico are little gems in their own right.

You should give it a go, obviously the graphics are nothing like Legend or Anniversary on PS2..but at least the controls are tighter and the camera isn't all glitched out xD

Underworld was a fantastic game. The graphics, environment, the voice acting and characters and the conclusion was epic.
The only thing I hated was how it wasn't nearly as good as Legend. Legend just had better locations you could explore, the story was better formed, and it was just an all around more fun game. Underworld was a fantastic game and very underrated. Sadly, it not being higher rated is probably what caused that... thing... to be released in 2013 rather than a follow up.
Anyways, if you want to play the game, avoid it on Wii and PS2. Such absolutely TERRIBLE ports. Whats pathetic is that even Legend looks better and plays better than the PS2 version of Underworld. The Wii Version is terrible because its shorter (Some levels were cut out), the gameplay was dull, and it was broken.
If you want a good experience, play it on PS3 or 360. You will regret playing it on PS2 and Wii. lol

I had a lot of fun playing Underworld. It is arguably the prettiest game of the first Crystal trilogy, and I absolutely love Coastal Thailand. I have a soft spot for Lara in this game, and the voice acting provided by Keeley Hawes fits the character very well. Nothing quite like swan diving off the cliffs into the water below. And the scenery surrounding the Bhogavati tomb was fantastic. And who didn't have fun swinging around Thor's hammer, Mjölnir? Lara's new moves and skill sets made her feel more human, however they could have used a bit more polishing to make them smoother. The bike controls could have been better, and I wish they would have not cut the picture taking ability from the game. And being that I had a Xbox 360, I had the opportunity to play Beneath the Ashes and Lara's Shadow. I had a lot of fun playing as Lara's Doppelganger, and it makes me sad that we probably will never see her again.
As I said earlier, I played on the Xbox 360, as well as the PC. I didn't find the camera to be as glitched out as people say, nor are the controls as loose as people say. it takes some getting used to, but I found them to be pretty responsive. I think it is a little easier to fix the controls in the PC, as you can fine tune the mouse sensitivity and other such things in the options menu.
The only thing I greatly disliked about the game was when Lara finally finds her mother. She spends 3 games looking for her, and then after finally finding her, she shoots her in the face. I also didn't like how her parents was the primary motivation for her archaeological expeditions. Why not explore ancient tombs for the sake of exploring?
Overall, I liked the game more than I thought I would. It has it's flaws, but I enjoy playing it all the same.

I agree with that. It felt like a waste that her whole goal of Legend and Underworld was looking for her mother. She finds her mother and simply kills her. Yes, she was a zombie, but it seems like she would have did something bigger.
