I thought it would be nice to include my cosplay pieces while everybody else is being so kind in sharing their own . Boots: They are not quite the same as Lara's in the game BUT do you remember in Anniversary where Lara has that very satisfying jingle when she walked...these boots have that sound!! So that will do for me! Plus they have come in very useful during British "Spring" time. Bought from ebay around £5.Bow: Thanks to the bush in my garden and string in the kitchen drawer. I had strange looks from the neighbors while I hacked the bush like a castaway. Free!
Gun: Not finished, such a pain to paint! Wish I'd spray painted it now ignore the handle I've not got round to that yet! Was part of those fancy dress 'Treasure Huntress' (nooo that has NOTHING to do with TR at all does it? ) guns and holster sets. So I can reuse/repaint for Core Lara. Ebay and art shop for paint Around £8 for set 99p for paint.Top: I've only painted the back so far, done twice because my nan came and started to wash it thinking I had a nose bleed (It's funny now, wasn't at the time!). Primark and paint I already had Around £2.50 I have a white top too.
Watch and walkie talkie: Watch was my first buy! Guess where...EBAY! The walkie talkie was months of ebay scouring/sniping and this little gem came up. It was broken so was cheap! I just painted the face yellow . The holy temple of ebay, £5 for the watch and £2 for the walkie talkie.Quiver: Not really started...so here is a curved piece of a wine box with bolser wood sticks sticks around 80p each from local art shop. Again, stange looks when I said I was making arrows from them. Feathers not in picture, £2 ebay.
Axe: I was pretty grim and thought it would be a fantastic idea to put blood on the blade! Made from foamboard. £2.50 for one sheet of A3 foamboard, 60p for disposable blade to cut it, paints I already had. Screws were from a shed trawl. Make up and earrings: Make up that I will use including sfx blood. Make up I already had, blood around £3 each, earrings around £2 from...........EBAY!I'm also growing out my fringe which is such a pain! It's up to that awkward stage atm. Damn you Lara, get a fringe! I also have some other bits and bobs such as a belt, faux leather for holster, cream bobbles cargo pants and fimo clay and braid for the necklace. They are not so interesting to photograph though! Lara Croft 2013 Sponsored by Ebay and Primarni

Looking good. I was a bit curious as to whether or not to paint my pistols. If you see my thread you will see why.

I can see yours were plastic toy pistols as opposed to replica style ones that me and Lori got

Yeah they were the 'treasure huntress' special , only reason I bought them was I thought you weren't allowed the replica guns that you two had bought. You are, when I read the rules again . I wish I had bought the replicas now, but that is for another day, another con! It's my bow I'm most worried about, I've tied the string loosely but I still have a feeling that they'll take it off me.

I don't see why they would, plenty of people have taken Lara's bow into Cons and not had it taken off them!

Quiver update: Little bit of an explanation, I bought the fabric when the game wasn't out yet and was working off renders that were released. I could have been sure it was leather! So...Lara lost hers and this is a solarii archers quiver ! Think I need a little more white paint around the top (which does have a folded detail if you can't see it), it is wrapped with paracord. I've been my usual grim self and put a bloody hand smear along the bottom. Also excuse my cat, she wouldn't leave me alone

That is seriously too neat! Be sure to post the steps as it's fascinating how detailed you're getting with the whole outfit!

Aw Vinegaress, thank you . I think I may have got a little bit obsessed ! Quiver update, the fact that the strap was wrong was really annoying me! So I bought a vintage US Army Alice belt from ebay and attached to the body which I have now weathered a little bit more. I have also wrote U S M C on the strap like Lara's inn the game. The arrows are just bolster wood (80p each from local art shop) with feather fletching that I attached myself. Holster: Finally made this! It is just pleather sewn up with a machine, the back d-rings were hand sewn with the buckle cut off a belt. Attaches with Velcro Basic With mag pouches and rope Necklace Made from fimo with an acrylic glaze on waxed cotton.

Thank you! It is now repair and update time before Manchester! I'm thinking of doing the competition bow...I truly don't know why I do this to myself :l

Just as a little update : I didn't have time to do the competition bow however all repairs are now near enough done and I have dyed my blue top to make it more of the ingame colour. I have also added more blood and more dirt xD . Also just made a dirt spray out of Ben Nye plains dust and my homemade mixing medium, bloody hell does that go everywhere! Glad I tried it over the bath! Vinegaress, thank you so much! I tried to get the little details sorted! So Manchester comic con, now with 45% more blood and dirt xD

It never ceases to amaze me how much work you put into your cosplay, makes me feel so ashamed as I'm so lazy and uncreative! Looking forward to seeing the updated version

And while this may be a little off topic, you make a gorgeous Lara, but then again, you're beautiful to begin with.

Well Manchester was mad, I think they hide all the crazy TR fans in my neck of the woods! One of the funniest being two guys who decided to sing "Lara Croft, Croft, oooooh Lara Croft" (Think football chant!) as I walked past xD and another being a girl who screamed out "she has the walkie talkie!" across the room . I met a few other Laras which is always nice if only to have a little TR natter and nothing clears the con floor faster than raising an axe in the air! So much so that I was pushed to the front of the group as the official crowd clearer! So many people took my picture, it was utter crazyness. Sadly no Sam cosplayers so that I could shout out "Saaaaaaaammmm", sad times Below is my slightly updated costume, the vest top is more the ingame colour now and dirtier. The theatrical dirt seemed to work much better and I hardly used any, so it was a good investment (had to sit on a towel in the car however!). These two guys were amazing and I really want to find out who they are as they are such lovely people! I found Alex at least! Lori, Don't say that! I cannot wait to see yours, it is bound to be epic as you are making sure each piece is correct! I do put a lot of effort in so it is nice when it shows, thank you! . If you want something making or need help with something please ask, I'm more than happy to help Vingaress, You charmer, you . It's amazing how much more confident I feel when I have the costume on. Only one thing would have made the day better, a big SR forum meet-up! edit Quick question, I'm planning on making GLaDOS for October MCM, would anyone be intrested in seeing that or should I just stick to TR themed ones? I have an AoD and Classic/Anni in mind.

An SR meet up needs to happen definitely, although we did kind of have a mini one at MCM by accident! Any cosplays are welcome here and if I'm honest, it's great to see something other than TR cosplays for a change, so feel free to post it all!

You know, I still feel stupid I didn't pipe up when we were outside the pub! Actually...where did you disappear to during Camilla's talk? I saw you at first with Jay and Steven and then you disappeared! Great what I'll do is I'll just keep all my cosplays under this thread to keep it all neat and tidy In other news, reborn Lara is having another trip out to the Play Expo in Manchester in October, except this time I am performing in the masquerade so wish me luck!

Not quite sure where to put this, so to stop making unnecessary threads I've stuck it here! These were my nails the week that TR came out in March and also won me a very nice teeshirt that was posted direct from the CD offices Sorry guys, no cosplay updates. Too busy trying to find a damn job edit Except for I have permission to use this music for my performance at playexpo. I'm using from 0:23 onwards and will edit it so it finishes nicely after 1 minute 20ish.
