So... now the Reboot has been out for a few months and other big titles have been released since... has Tomb Raider stayed high up on your list of great games this year (if it ever was to begin with) or have other games taken that privilege away from it?
For me personally, Tomb Raider was my game of the year... until I played The Last of Us. The story and the voice acting in Tomb Raider just doesn't come close to the awesomeness of TLOU in my opinion, although I don't think you can compare them when it comes to gameplay as their styles are pretty different.
What do you guys think?

Why of course! How could anything ever possibly beat it! ........ Wait.....hold on........let me take off my Egyptian dust covered glasses.............. That's Better! Right, in all honesty TR is for me although I am 98% sure that it won't be the official one at end of the year. Actually it doesn't have much competition because I have yet to play any other game released this year xD . Wow, what a valid point this is turning out to be! I know when I get around to TLoU it probably will be stiff competition for TR. What I will mention however is how I feel now about the game compared to a few months ago. In March/April I was riding high on a Yamatai scented wave, there were only a few minor niggles about the game and I was pretty happy that others thought the game was worthwhile too. In May/June, I began to reflect back on it as I played other games, discussed on other forums and listened to Camilla at comic con. Then it didn't seem as glossy as it once was; some of the voice acting seemed off, the story was not as tight as I remembered it, the potential for other scenarios and gameplay seemed perfectly reasonable. I think it was safe to say I was just fangirling during my first play through, the next should be interesting.

It's my Game of the Year so far as it's the only new release I've played this year. I don't have a PS3 yet so I've yet to see how awesome The Last of Us is.

The Last of Us has the highest chance to beat Tomb Raider. But for some reason, I honestly can see Tomb Raider winning GOTY.

Hand down it truly is, my opinion of the game hasn't changed since release day. Not only is it the best TR I have played in a long long time but it's also the best game I have played this year. Minus some bugs with the QTE's I'm still amazed how polished the game was compared to previous titles.

With all the diversity, the environments, excellent story telling and the way Lara's character is so meticulously and carefully shown to the player (when we already know her future), it still keeps you on edge and excited for what will happen next because as we all know, Lara is a badass at the end of the day.

Definitely! Tomb Raider is such a well polished game, with the more open environments to explore and I loved how Lara's character was written. Plus the combat and traversal gameplay was just awesome. It's the best entry I've seen in the series for some time now. Although, Bioshock Infinite's story was better than Tomb Raider's IMO. Let's just say I never saw what was coming and that I was attached to all of the characters in Bioshock: Infinite. Regardless though, both games pulled me through with their stories and immersive gameplay. I haven't got a PS3, but I've heard some pretty amazing things about The Last of Us!

I say yes because it is a game I have gotten to play. I would like to play games like "Last of Us" or "Bioshock Infinite", but can't quite afford them presently. I'm super biased though because I was looking forward to the Reboot for so long. The only thing I don't like is the online stuff, because I can't stay alive long enough to learn/enjoy... and I think my internet is too slow.

It is safe to say that Tomb Raider 2013 is My Game Of the Year 2013.I've had this much fun playing a game since playing HALO 4 at a midnight release LAN party the day it came out.
I think what made me like TReboot so much is they made Lara much more relatable as a character. It was easier for me to put myself in her shoes. Before we were all dual wielding backflip ninjas, we had to start someplace. The only thing I would have changed would be adding more tombs, removing the multiplayer and toneing down the QTE's.
