I had the opportunity to watch the old Lara Croft: Tomb Raider films recently. I sat down, not quite sure what to expect, as this was the first time I had ever seen them. After watching both Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, I think it's safe to say I enjoyed both films.
I guess this is a review. Sort of.
I really did enjoy the movies. I think Angelina Jolie did a fantastic job bringing Lara Croft to life, and I loved the fact she did most of her own stunts. I liked that Daniel Craig was in the film as well, though it was kind of ironic seeing a British actor pretending to be an American and a American actor pretending to be a British. To be fair, Angelina Jolie pulled off a pretty good British accent, and we finally learn where she keeps all her spare magazines for those beautiful HK USP Match pistols. (She has magazines for her guns clipped to her belt. she drops the old mags from her guns, slides the new ones in, and releases the slide, all in one swift motion.)
And the second film? I liked it. not as much as the first, but I liked it.
Final thoughts? I think this is probably the best video game movie(s) I've ever seen, next to Wreck-it Ralph.
I'd be interested to hear what think y'all think about the films.

Glad to hear you enjoyed them after so long! I haven't watched the second one in a long time as it didn't really feel like tomb raider to me. But the first one I love to pieces even if it was very different to the games at the time. It has a lot of nostalgia for me!

I can't be sure that 've seen the second film, but I've watched the first one a lot! It seems to be on tv here very often, so if I ever find it when channel hopping, I watch it Its a lot of fun, I really like the stunts. I remember going to see the film when it was released -- wow, its a long time ago! I wanted to BE Lara so much (I still do but don't tell anyone)
