Steam Page No other info offered besides the store saying the game will be released next month. Now they need to get cracking on the PS4 version. EDIT: Official statement from Crystal is that the release date for the PC version of both Steam and Windows is 28th January

Very two-faced about this. This is my brain weighing the options...
Reasons to play it: 1) it looks gorgeous 2) reviews have been almost universally lavish in their praise of gameplay and story 3) it's got 'Tomb Raider' in the title...
Reasons not to play it: 1) I'm not a fan of the reboot's story or characters 2) Money is tight but Steam likes sales - I can afford to wait a few months if I'm really desperate 3) Deep feelings of disgust over the exclusivity deal i.e. piss-poor treatment of two-thirds of the TR fanbase have not abated and probably won't ever disappear enough for me to feel comfortable playing the game, no matter how brilliant it turns out to be
Verdict: meh...

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, except I still have to wait even longer as a PS4 player! Although I'm a bit more indifferent to it all now and just don't feel like I'll be motivated enough to play it and enjoy it as there's too much disappointment and anger around the whole thing!

Its releasing in literally 2 weeks for pc and my hyper meter is still at an all time low...I mean I wanna play it but it kinda kills the fun factor when I can't talk about the game with friends because they're on ps4...and I'm not a dick to spoil stuff for them.
Honestly I'm more excited to play Final Fantasy 9 on pc...and this game is 16 years old xD says it all really.

Talking to Kelly (From The Archaeology of Tomb Raider) has lifted me a bit, I must admit. If SHE is singing the game's praises - its gameplay mechanics etc. - then it's got to at least be worth a look. That said, I've just thought of one more reason why the new rebooted TR hasn't really clicked for me. There was none of the playful, wry humour or sarcasm that occasionally popped up in the classics. It's gritty and real and oh so gorgeous to look at... but the only time I remember actually chuckling to myself when playing the 2013 reboot was when Lara snapped and yelled at the mercenaries 'Yes! RUN, you Bar Stewards!" (edited for modesty). There was something wonderful about her being harrassed none-stop, until she got her hands on a grenade launcher and oh my, how the tables turned... I hope there is more of this attitude in Rise.

Personally speaking I ignore all opinions until I've played games myself. Reboot was the typical shooter taking direction from Uncharted, wasn't a good TR game but it was a damn good game itself. From what I heard Rise is basically just an expansion on reboot, almost reboot 1.5 if you will. Just hoping the story is written better than the first..was way too predictable..happy we can use stealth this time versus gunning everyone down xD
