How do you feel about the only playable male character in a Tomb Raider adventure? Personally I feel quite neutral to Kurtis Trent. I liked him, and I enjoyed his three levels (well, I enjoyed two of them - three guesses which) but overall, I just didn't care enough about him to want him to return. I was far more interested in Lara, I'm always more interested in Lara. I don't think additional playable characters are necessary in Tomb Raider. If they do become necessary, I think I'd rather let go of the series by then, but that's me. What did you think of AoD's creeper grunge stalker?

At the time I think I had a tiny bit of a crush on him! But yeah, playing him was never a big thing for me, other characters in Tomb Raider are good, but playable characters are just totally not necessary. Luckily I think Crystal are smart enough to know that Tomb Raider is all about Lara and that adding anyone else to it is a mistake left in the days of AOD.

I thought it was interesting at the time until I finally got to play him in game. As everyone knows the movement for Lara was a bit slow..for some reason I found it even worse for Kurtis. Maybe if his animations were completely finished I would have enjoyed him as a character more, I dunno,

He was such a disappointment for me. After watching him use that cool whooshy disc in the cutscenes and stuff you couldn't even use it! What was that about. And when you went to a door and he was like 'My farsee ability will help here'. What the fudgenuts? Might have been good if that was explained

He was able to use both at one point, the animations still exist.

I think it was the right thing what the game needed. Saying that TR is about Lara doesnt make this statement invalid, as Kurtis was part of Lara's character development. We could see a completely different Lara in AOD and Kurtis was a big part of that (well would have been)

Ah, I still have a soft spot for Mr Trent! It's so sad so much had to be cut.

I this said awhile ago when talked asked how I felt about Kurtis and my answer still stands.
I found Kurtis Trent to be a terrible ally, and a weak character in general. He always seemed to act like he was better than Lara, when it's really clear who's the bitch and who isn't. The story would of been better without him.
