Time to sound off on Multiplayer.
Going off most of the reviews for the Multiplayer in the reboot it was pretty mediocre, and even in some instances brought the score down for the title because it wasn't as polished as the main game. And honestly for once I have to agree with the reviews I really didn't like the Multiplayer, it wasn't polished and there wasn't much variation in the game modes. I've put almost 65 hours into the game and I think I only spent like an hour playing Multiplayer before I stopped, too many people using trainers, glitching etc
I personally feel MP just isn't meant for TR, it has always been about the SP experience and that's how I feel it should stay.

I've never been a fan of multiplayer but I didn't mind it in tomb raider, I thought it was quite fun!
Got bored of it very quickly though
Thing is, I don't mind it being in the game just don't make it essential or let it take anything away from the main single player game...

Yeah I don't care as long as they don't force us to play Multiplayer, didn't like that so many of the achievements were Multiplayer focused >.>

I am against Multiplayer. This is not Call of duty or Battlefield. This is Tomb Raider. The whole point of the game is to explore ancient ruins and raid tombs. I didn't even use it in this TR! It just felt tacked on and meant to try to attract the multiplayer crowd that would normally shy away from single player games. I do not wish to see it in future TR games. If I wanted to play multiplayer, I'd go play Halo or battlefield. Sorry if I seem angry and argumentative. I just needed to vent my feelings a little bit.

Definitely a no, I don't play online multiplayer so it has never interested me. With the reception it has had for TR9, I would be very surprised if they put it in again. However local co-op I could see working, but I'm not sure how many people would play it.

I'm for it, but it definitely should not be forced - Tomb raider has always been a single player experience.

I voted 'yes', as I quite enjoyed playing the multiplayer part of the reboot.
I don't usually bother with multiplayer at all, so it was quite fun to try. I only looked at the MP after I'd completed the SP game, and I wouldn't want to SP side of things to suffer just so there could be an MP

I voted 'NO'. Don't get me wrong - I was a multiplayer junkie, reaching #7 on the kills leaderboard and #5 on the wins on xbox one BUT (here we go....) Up until 2013 the TR community has been a fairly peaceful place. If we got stuck - someone was always there to help, if we got through it - someone was always there to say well done (I was always snooping on Stellas site for the answers lol) Then came multiplayer and with it cheaters, glitchers, bad sports and complete idiots. Some tomb raider boards turned into playgrounds, sniping and arguing, even bullying in some instances. People became obsessed with getting to the top (top of what? does it matter?!) by whatever means necessary. The tranquility of the community was shattered (over-dramatic? ) It became hard to find a game where you wouldn't encounter one plonker or another. The enjoyment was literally sucked out of the MP. In my opinion TR became unrecognizable. I don't want that for Tomb Raider. Obviously there are still a lot of lovely people around some that have played MP, some that haven't but I felt that the game I love was muddied. This is just my opinion. So; no to MP for Rise of the Tomb Raider. Of course, in saying all that if there were to be MP, I would play it because I' a glutton for punishment

To be honest, from my experience, forums have the tendency to turn in to playgrounds with bullying and sniping etc, and that was way before the last TR game came out... that was more through boredom than the addition of Multiplayer! Luckily this forum has too many awesome members to let that happen!

I am alright with it, as long as the trophies and achivements are not online ones. I wanted to get all achivements, but guess what? I can't because nobody plays Tomb Raider online on XBL anymore.
I am hoping that Crystal also developing Temple of Osiris is a sign that Rise of the tomb raider will be offline only. I mean, if they want multiplayer they can make it as spinoffs. We don't need a useless game mode taking away resources from the development team. Seriously, Tomb Raider's story and locale could have been so much better had they used the resources they used developing the online portion to develop the Single Player mode instead. Tomb Raider doesn't need multiplayer.

I'm not against multiplayer, but not something I'd be excited for. While fun at times with friends, I didn't enjoy that aspect of the game too much.
So long as resources stay focused on delivering the best single player experience over any multiplayer addition, I'd be ok with its inclusion. Oh and please, if there is a multiplayer component, do not attach too much achievements to it and please add some more variety or co-op play requiring 2 - 4 people to solve various puzzles and traps or even race through trap filled tombs like Lara and Von Croy did in The Last Revelation.
There is also the Temple of Osiris for those seeking some multiplayer fun too I guess.

If I can be dead honest here, multiplayer really just doesn't belong in a Tomb Raider game, in my opinion. I mean if way back in the day in Tomb Raider's early years, if multiplayer was done, maybe it would be a different story. But I find myself coming back to the same conclusion, that Lara and her adventures are ours and fighting some other Lara in some hodge-podge level created to be easily traversed to kill other players just isn't what Tomb Raider is about.
I voted no.

I don't see any problem with Crystal keeping the multi-player feature, even though I'm not too fond of it. In my humble opinion, if you don't like it, just don't play it. It's not obligatory, unless you want to get all the trophies and stuff. So yeah, they can keep it all right. Just make it decent, and not all buggy this time.
