Now we've had the trailer, it has been confirmed for us that Lara has kept not only her bow, but also her climbing axe... both of which I am very happy about as they were my favourite additions to her inventory However, by the looks of things there's no sign of her dual pistols... not even in the concept art: Could this mean the end of Lara's signature weapons as we know it?!?!

I sincerely hope not! I think maybe that they're still pushing this vulnerability thing and maybe that's why they haven't been featured in the press. Maybe it's still early days. What I would absolutely hate if they did, however; is if they played up her Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and had her not use the guns because they a) reminded her of Roth and b) the noise of the guns remind her of her ordeal.

Even though I fell in love with the bow and the axe both (which is more possible to climb with instead of with only her hands like before), but I have to stay I would love to see the dual pistols return because those are Lara's signature along other things like the braid/ponytail and now the bow and arrow. If they want to keep up with the bow they will have to make a very good reason why she won't use something more tech

I too loved the bow and the axe, but Lara is with dual pistols. The bow is great and everything, but recently it got very popular in the pop culture (take whatever you want - LoTR/The Hobbit, Arrow, Brave, and especially The Hunger games) People confuse Lara for Katniss and the other way around. But if she has dual pistols you just can't mistake it! Lara is just that - dual pistols, backpack, braid, (shorts), very smart puzzle-solving archaeologist. I saw comments that people like her to be more vulnerable, more human like. Well, that's maybe not bad, but I prefer her as a bad ass

Maybe because the bow is a popular weapon at the moment in loads of movies and TV shows, Crystal thinks it will help sell the game. I'm hoping that Crystal aren't that fickle And everyone is saying about the dual pistols being brought back at the end of the last game, but to me, it just seemed to me like a gimmick rather than an actual confirmation that the guns were back.

I had fun with the Bow and Climbing axe, but I would very much like for the dual pistols to return. They have been her weapons of choice since Tomb Raider (1996). I think if they DO return, make it like in TR 2013, except have both guns fired by the right trigger, with the left one used for aiming. perhaps make the ammo supply a bit more generous, so you don't have to constantly scavenge for ammo?

I truly loved using the Bow in the reboot, so much that I only used the pistol when I ran out of arrows. I'd be for the dual pistols returning if they can find a proper way for them to work without being auto aim...or shooting like that QTE at the end of reboot. Could you imagine using the trigger buttons while trying to move at the same time lol

Honestly, I'm disappointed the bow is back. Did I love in the reboot? Yes. Did it fit in the story? Yes. But c'mon a bow over a gun, and see who will win first (and no I'm not talking about the element of surprise). I do hope the pistols will be back and having the bow should be an option. Not having the guns included in the game (if they choose to do so) will be extremely discouraging to me as a fan. I've been with Lara since the beginning and the dual pistols are a part of what makes Lara, Lara. Taking that out would be dishonorable and disrespectful to the series as well as the fans.
Am I excited for Rise of the Tomb Raider? Yes. But am I worried with how many things they are going to keep taking out from who Lara really is? Definitely.

I hope the pistols will be in the next game.
The bow is very apt in the sense of stealth and makeshift survival situations, and I love using it in the reboot, but I want to be able to use pistols!

I love how they have kept the bow in this time. However I think there should be a swap between the both of them. either way this game is going to be amazing
