As many of you would have seen, there was a leak yesterday through the PC update of ROTTR on Steam, where a video was accidentally shared. We won't be sharing it here, but you would probably find it on other channels...
What it seemed to show pointed to a possible dlc of Croft Manor... well that's the rumour that has been circulating!
Since the leak, Crystal have come out with an official statement:
“As some eagle-eyed Rise of the Tomb Raider players have discovered, two placeholder movies were accidentally included in the latest patch. This content was not meant to be released, but now that it is we wanted to respond to the questions we’ve received as a result. The movies are part of a DLC expansion we’re exploring for Rise of the Tomb Raider. Our fans continue to enjoy Rise of the Tomb Raider and its DLC, including Cold Darkness Awakened which released on Tuesday, and we receive many requests for additional story content. We’re always listening to feedback from our fans; especially this year as we celebrate 20 years of the iconic Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider franchise together.”
Take this statement as you like, but as this is all the information we have, which has confirmed a DLC, and going by the content of the video, it looks like the rumours could very well be true!
So what would you guys like to see? A return to the classic manor in the classic games?
Back to when we had puzzles and secret rooms, when you could lock Winston in the freezer!
Or...
The LAU manor, heavily inspired by the movie manor?
Or even a third option...
Something completely new!
(The top is an example photo of Hampton Court Palace, which is my favourite 16th Century building near London! I'd love to have something based on this!

the original manor visually was restricted by the technology at the time, but i'd love something with that look and feel
