So it has just been announced today that the Oscar Winner (Best Supporting Actress for Danish Girl) has landed the role of Lara Croft in the latest Tob Raider movie, being made by GK Films and being directed by Roar Uthaug I, for one, am very excited and would love to congratulate Alicia on landing the role. From what I've seen of her she is a talented actress who deserves a shot at playing such a powerful role as Lara. Clearly she's been after something with a bit of action since Danish Girl and Ex Machina, seeing as she originally was cast in Assassin's Creed, but then turned that down to star in the new Jason Bourne movie! Looking forward to see what she brings to the role!

Never heard of her until I saw an article on Facebook so I watched a few videos. She kinda reminds me of someone who would be cast to play the role of Ellie from TLOU if it ever got a movie adaptation. She seems like she can hold her own and she isn't an overdone barbie, so I say why not? xD

I'm with you, Aj, in that I'd not come across her until the annoucement. She certainly has the looks and the voice. Unfortunately, I've felt increasingly apathetic towards the franchise as time's gone on, and with the direction it's taken with characterisation and story. I'll withhold all judgement until I've seen the film, but in all honesty my hype balloon popped a long time ago.
